  Expectations Too High?
« on: May 08, 2008, 06:24:03 PM » by Miraenda
I guess my expectations were too lofty for this site. I thought it would remain a place where people could post without worry of other people who simply join to insult others.

In life, many people purposely insult you for no reason beyond they want to do so for their own enjoyment. While I like to give my honest opinion, I do not purposely insult people.

I thought this site was my safe haven from people who act juvenile and puerile, since I run it, but it apparently isn't. I don't take negativity well when I'm insulted. I've been running this site for my own enjoyment since January 2005 and I will not ever tolerate people turning it into a place I don't enjoy posting my works, all for the sake of them voicing their infantile name calling crap.

The part about anything and everything writing forum is for your works, meaning you can post them here without worries of people lambasting you or putting you down. To allow anyone to post what they write without the author feeling poorly about the piece, getting constructive criticism or input, not vindictiveness and meanness.

Oh well, what did I expect? Nothing in life is perfect, and many people are jerks.

I will ban anyone going forward who insults another author rather than being a civil adult to all writers on here.

2007 December News

We've added 2 new members this month (NathanK and hippsta) to our ranks after closed registrations for 10 months. Please encourage other writers to join so we have more works to view (and more active discussions smile).

- 31 Dec 2007, I'll be attending a NYE party at the Mezzanine in San Francisco to see Blaqk Audio, which should be a real treat.
