Oh and paradox, I should mention one more thing ... [ :: serious mode :: ]
I, myself, have to look at why I took offense by that comment, so it's not really yours to feel bad about. I really shouldn't have taken what you said personally, so it's more my fault than yours. Really, I mean that. I'm not one to usually get offended by things (ask Miraneda, she knows, lol ), and it's something for me to look at with myself, as to why I would feel offended when I do. [ :: end serious mode :: ]So please take the responsibility off your shoulders, and I give you permission to insult me as much as you want

So, is anybody gonna give this movie a chance, or what? It's more sad than inspirational, so you may very well like it, paradox C'mon, give it a try, I wanna hear your take on it Ron, I know you'll like it, so what's taking you so long renting this movie?

Get a hold of yourself Leigh, and straighten out those panties that must be wrapped all the way over your head by now. I already added this one to the list the first time you suggested it, so that means I should see it by, oh I don't know...2009? I'm just really enjoying your desperate plea for us all to watch it.

Okay, okay ... Leigh straightens out her *ahems* Thanks paradox ... now after you finally watch it, you can insult me all you want, cuz then at least you will be judging that movie on your own experience, and NOT by unfair prejudgments

Thanks paradox ... now after you finally watch it, you can insult me all you want, cuz then at least you will be judging that movie on your own experience, and NOT by unfair prejudgments What is the point of taglines, trailers, and plot outlines? Of course I prejudge all movies I view. I didn't know anyone just walked into the movie theatre, and said: "Give me whatever ticket(s) you feel like givin' me. I don't want to prejudge what I'm about to spend 1-3 hours watching. And give me somethin' behind that counter. I've heard the popcorn is somethin' of a spiritual entity, and probably is worse for me than drinking a gallon of unleaded gasoline, but give me a big bucket of whatever ya got." I prejudge, and I use the same biting sarcasm for movies I like for movies I don't. I am sarcastic about being sarcastic. you can insult me all you want Of course I can. Since when did I ever wait for your permission. The day I can't insult you at will, that is the day all hope is lost. My getaway vehicle awaits...

Oh my, I need to tone it down a bit I see. I meant nothing by my crass remarks, besides it not being a movie I'd decide to see without someone suggesting it. It wasn't meant to be anything personally directed to you, those lives the story is derived from, or anybody for that matter. It's just my opinion, and my opinion is not meant to be absolute or dogmatic in any way. The only part I actually took with slight offense to was when you said it "makes the audience to feel phony-bologna inspiration" . I don't like my feelings (inspired or otherwise) to be called phony-bologna . Otherwise, the rest of what I posted was mainly commenting on your judging the movie and what it's going to be about or how you would even like it, like placing a judgment on somebody you don't even know Oh Leigh, I wasn't even calling your feelings phony-bologna, you silly goose you. I was saying it tries to muster up feelings that I don't genuinely have, which would be phony-bologna for me. Now Nurse Ratched, give me my cigarettes! Now, I suggest you watch the pilot episode of "Little House On The Prairie" Leigh (God forbid anyone does that whatever it is), and don't you prejudge that Charles will get hurt in some way, or that his crops won't grow due to drought! You better enjoy it with that bowl of crisco I expect you to eat as well!

I watched this movie on IFC the other day. It was fantastic. I only wish there had been subtitles for the intro and the end speech. I assume it would have added depth to the story.
